Try the Local thali at Jana falls near Naggar in Kullu : Red rice, Local saag, Siddu, Makki Roti, Rajma & Kadi, served with jaggery & ghee

Do NOT miss an opportunity to try the Local Dhaam in a Himachali village: This is cooked in brass vessels on wood fire.

Each region has their own Dham. This is eaten on a leaf plate and it has several local dishes: mainly curries  and dals with rice

Visit Hotel Annapurna on the main Chandigarh- Manali highway & have Mandiyali Dham: with the famed Sepu Wadi and Seb ka Meetha.

Traditional Dhaams are served by cooks called 'Botis': Here you can see the Boti in traditional wear serving Lakad Boondi Kadi

Siddu is a steamed , stuffed Kullu dish. Available at numerous local roadside stalls, dhabas & Homestays. It is served with chutney & Ghee.

When you stay in a local homestay, you can actually see how Siddu is made with different fillings: this one has walnuts.

Another local dish that you will mostly find in homestays is a fermented bread called Bhaturoo: This is either fried or made on wood fire.

Rhododendron chutney: you will find this at stalls near Fauji Dhaba in Narla when you travel on NH 20. (Palampur Manali Highway)

Lodge at Wah, in Palampur serves amazing Kangri Dham: From Kaddu ka Khata, Gobi Palda, Chane Ka Madra, Teliyah Maa, to Chana Dal ka Bhattu.
