Things Vegetarians can eat in MYANMAR

1. Salads:  There are tomato farms in Inle Lake and Tomato salad is a must try here. Other common salads are Seaweed and carrot salad, tea leaf salad.

2. Fried Rice and Fried Noodles Most restaurants serve Vegetarian fried rice, Fried noodles with vegetables and steam rice with vegetables.

3. Tropical Fruits: The Burmese eat fruits as dessert and grapes, strawberries, cherries are grown in abundance.

4. Burmese Tea Burmese love their Tea!  Laiphet ( tea with condensed milk) is found almost everywhere on Burmese streets

5. Street Snacks : Steamed  Steamed snacks can be found at most of the street stalls. These include Rice dumplings and Bein Mont: Steamed Pancakes.

6. Street Snacks : Fried Another Street favourite is Fried snacks like Ah Kyaw and Stuffed Rice pancakes.

7.  Husband Wife Snack:  Known as Mont Lin Ma Yar (rice pancakes made on streets, topped with chickpeas and onions). 

 8. Mandalay cuisine : Served with Rice Mock meat: Beans Athatu, Assorted mix veg (Thi sone nut ), sweet and sour yellow tofu (Tophu Chochin), Long bean salad  (Pe taung Shae thoe), Radish potato and carrot ( Thom myo a young chel ), 

 9.  Mandalay cuisine : Dessert Moong cake (Lah mont) a Mandalay delicacy.

 10. Bagan's tamarind candies: Bagan is famous for its tamarind and jaggery candies which  make for ideal souvenirs to take back home.
